  3. 2 medium sized Onion

  6. 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  7. 1 tbsp Chili powder
  8. 1/2 tbsp daighi mirch powder (Kashmiri mirch powder)
  9. 1 tbsp Red chilli flakes
  10. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  11. 1 tbsp qasuri meethi
  12. 4-5 Green chillies
  13. 1/2 cup Oil

Steps to make to make Aloo gosht

  1. Wash meat throughly, add all the meat in pot filled with water and boil. When water start bubbling, add 1 tbsp of vinegar & keep boiling for 2-3 minutes. Discard all water n keep meat in a strainer. (This step is especially for removing all dirty smell of blood)
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add onion n fry
  3. Meanwhile blend tomatoes, set aside
  4. Add ginger garlic paste, sauté for couple of minutes
  5. Add tomato purée, mix well
  6. Add all the seasoning, bhonofy
  7. Add meat in prepared tomato masala and mix it well
  8. Add a glass of water, cover and cook until meat more than half done
  9. Add potatoes and mix it well
  10. Cover and cook for couple of minutes
  11. When potatoes and meat is full tender, sprinkle qasuri methi, turn off the flame and cover for a minute
  12. Soon oil comes on top, add green chili, mix and serve hot
